@NgaKorMing As a person who voted dap in past elections … we want you to bring meaningful changes of good to the people and the country not sling mud at a party that has no chance of taking over the government… maybe put in the same effort solving affordability issues for the poor
@aricchen@anwaribrahim Only an idiot like you paints it as a wall against China lol … us here in Asia sees it as maritime cooperation so that we don’t end up like Hormuz which your president caused
@jameschin110 Why in the first place people want to vote PAS when they can’t wait even do anything to improve the northeastern states of peninsula … for example upgrading a simple bus station … and what future policies do they have in mind to improve productivity or bring about investment
@NewsBFM The 10% tarrif is on every country and some are 12.5% … think it’s misleading to say it’s imposing it on Malaysia … the news should reflect a broader context
@ahchoen Depends where you live inflation in the cities are higher than rural areas you can follow dosm on X for periodical monthly updates of Malaysia data to get a better idea … they have a breakdown of items fuel etc and inflation by cities / rural and states also trade data’s
@rickyho_1989 Malaysia has been down this road before where we need certain percentage of export proceeds to be converted back to myr ultimately the currency weaken even more … thankfully with new governor the FEA ruling was lifted and tons of investment came in since 2023
@rickyho_1989 As I understand the central bank have to actively go buy usd in the market to collect reserves assuming if all trades are done in the interbank market instead of dealt direct with the central bank … one other theory is exporters aren’t converting back to idr
@ahchoen No worries for the normal person on the streets it will be hard to understand what’s going on globally and how money moves … all I can say in the past 3 years the government has put in the right policies for us to come in stronger into this conflict
@ahchoen Even T a time when advanced economies like Japan uk us France Germany are increasingly blowing past their fiscal deficit and at a very huge margin in an increasing volatile world
@ahchoen There are so many reasons why we come in stronger in a time of energy crisis because first we are an energy exporter Eventho we still need to import crude for refining we have surplus natural gas to offset the high prices second our exports are thru the roof helped by E&E sector
@ahchoen Also we are a top destination for tourism in south east Asia and a major destination of foreign investment wanting to setup advance manufacturing here … all these combination gives confidence and reliability where investors want to put their money at a time where
