The typhoon's impact has been severe and far-reaching: Hundreds of public transport routes are submerged, crippling the sole income source for thousands of jeepney drivers and other small-scale public transport workers in Metro Manila. Beyond their work, these workers' homes and communities have been battered by powerful winds and extensive flooding.
