$GNRC nice print. Starting to show the combination we wanted: data-center growth and a healthier residential business. C&I sales +28%, Residential +9%, margins improved in both. More evidence that the new growth engine can add to the core instead of just offsetting weakness.
$MSFT earnings blew past estimates:
- Revenue was $92.3 billion +19% YoY
-Operating income was $45.9 billion up 21% YoY

It will be interesting to see commentary on Copilot, as based on alt data, Copilot and Azure were really good!

Bijan Robinson might be the best back in the NFL.
Leads the league with 704 rushing yards through 7 weeks. But the Bucs have held him in check.
He's played 58 career games so far.
Here's where his games vs Tampa Bay rank on his own career game log for rushing yards:
93 yds (19th)

Are hotels removing stuff from rooms? I investigated.
🚪 Doors: Yes. A lot of newer midprice and boutique hotels now use frosted glass, a sliding barn door, or a curtain. Some put the sink out in the room and the toilet behind glass. Hotels told the Wall Street Journal that doors are expensive and a maintenance headache. Sadie Lowell started a site called Bring Back Doors after a London hotel put her and her dad in a twin room with no bathroom door, and she's gotten about 800 submissions.
🛁 Bathtubs: Yes, for about a decade now. In 2015, Marriott told owners of its Marriott Hotels to put walk-in showers in 75% of bathrooms, including every king room. By 2019, almost a quarter of US hotel rooms had no tub. A shower takes about 9 square feet vs. 13 for a tub, and it's faster to clean.
🪑 Desks: No. They tried, and they came back. Marriott pulled desks out of a lot of rooms in 2015, and guests complained right away. A year later, Marriott's new room design had a desk again, on wheels.
🧹 Daily housekeeping: Mostly yes. Hilton stopped cleaning most US rooms every day by default in 2021. In 2023, it brought daily cleaning back at its luxury, full-service, and lifestyle hotels, and most of its other US hotels went to every other day.
🧴 Little shampoo bottles: Yes. Marriott announced in 2019 that it would swap them for big pump bottles, getting rid of about 500 million small ones a year, and California banned them at hotels with more than 50 rooms in 2023.
🍫 Minibars: Mostly yes. The Marriott Marquis in Times Square started pulling most of its minibars back in 2004. A lot of hotels now leave you an empty fridge and sell snacks in a market by the front desk.
📖 Bibles: Some. 95% of US hotels had a Bible or other religious book in the room in 2006, and 79% did in 2017. Marriott left them out of its Moxy and Edition hotels.
🍿 Microwaves: Mostly no. Nicer hotels never really had them in the room. Budget and extended-stay hotels still do, and Residence Inn and Homewood Suites still have kitchens. Some hotels in between have pulled them because of smells and fire risk and put one in the breakfast room instead.
The desks and the daily cleaning came back after guests complained, so I think doors have a shot. Tubs, I doubt. If you're sharing a room with a coworker or your parents, check the bathroom photos before you book.

Battery electric vehicles just overtook pure petrol cars in the EU for the first quarter on record.
In Q3-2026, over a quarter (27%) of new vehicle registrations were BEVs. Petrol's share dropped below 20% for the first time.
MSG Rangers ($MSGR) FY26 (ye jun 30): rev $337.3M; op loss $30.5M (FY25 −$23.3M). FY24: +$26.8M OI on $401.5M rev — 8 home playoff games = $64.4M. Local media $35.3M (vs $39.1M). Spin 1:2 Oct 26.

NY Rangers lost about $30.5 million during 2026 fiscal year and $23.3 mil in 2025, according to MSG Rangers' SEC filing. Rangers had $26.8 mill in profits in 2024. Company says "We are likely not to be profitable in the near term unless the Rangers make an extended playoff run."
EIA: crude -1.9M barrels vs a flat estimate. Commercial stocks: 410.6M.
Add the SPR and the U.S. holds 693.2M barrels of crude, the least since October 1983.

S&P Global delivered solid Q3 results with revenue up 7% to $3.7B and adjusted EPS beating at $4.58.
$SPGI
Margins expanded, Indices grew 20%, and the company raised full-year revenue growth guidance while boosting buybacks to $2.6B.
It also launched a strategic review of its Capital IQ data businesses.
Steady execution across ratings, data, and indices shows resilience, though the review of slower-growth units could reshape the portfolio going forward.
$SOFI just posted a record $1.4 billion quarter and raised guidance above Wall Street
Q3 adjusted net revenue jumped 44% from a year ago, with adjusted EBITDA up 70% to a record $470 million
Members grew 35% to 17.1 million after a record 1.2 million were added in the quarter, and products rose 44% to 26.7 million
Adjusted EPS came in at $0.18, the 12th straight profitable quarter
$SOFI now sees $5.04 billion in 2026 revenue vs the $4.87 billion FactSet consensus, and gave a first 2027 outlook of about $6.4 billion with $0.90 of EPS
Record loan originations of $16.9 billion with credit in line with expectations is the part that matters most here, because it shows the growth isn't coming from loosening standards
$SOFI has sold off after strong reports before, so the real test is whether a beat and raise this clean finally holds

Robinhood's Q3: the chain showed up in the P&L
@RobinhoodApp just released their Q3 earnings, posting a record $1.42bn of net revenue, up 12% YoY, and Robinhood Chain contributed to that
Where the growth came from
• Mainly from prediction markets (+$146m → $173m of event contracts revenue) and options (+$95m → $399m)
• Other revenues (+$54m) include gold subscriptions and $47m from Trump Accounts
• Robinhood Chain saw +$26m of net revenue, coming from zero a year ago (chain wasn't live then)
• $26m of net revenue booked, which is ~22% of the $120m of crypto revenue
• Top 4 chain by revenue and volume, with over $60bn of DEX volume and over $50m of chain fees
• Without the chain, their crypto revenue would have fallen 6% QoQ. With it, crypto rose 20% QoQ
Personal thoughts
• A year ago crypto revenue was all from their app trading. This quarter more than a fifth of it came from the chain
• @vladtenev hinted on the earnings call that they will be ramping up support for Robinhood chain builders and community
• Good to see @ponsdotfamily (@MEADGod) and @longdotxyz (@Natan_benish) added to Robinhood wallet too as they increase their distribution
• Prediction markets are now Robinhood's fastest-growing line, adding more new revenue than options did
