@QiaochuYuan it was hard not to include meteora like in your list. Must have listened several hundred times at ~13/14. "skip resistant" discman, walking around avoiding feelings. but there's just so many!
@Austen My (admittedly false) theory is that because it's existentially important to him to be the most irritating person you can imagine, he resents babies for being better at it than him. It probably drives him nuts that his peak power was so long ago
@QiaochuYuan there's no legal way to fix it w/o 2/3/4/5th order effects that are way worse for everyone. it's one of those things that is only fixable via culture (afaict) and we are particularly bad at calibrating culture in current day
@BecomingCritter@QuetzalPhoenix Yes it's one of the most obviously cursed locations in the USA, doubtless some kind of demon was trapped there by natives. The fancy houses on the hill overlooking the gray formless dreck idk it's very on the nose
@tracewoodgrains I have a particularly sensitive psyche. I don't need to hear from everyone. But yes it's good to be circumspect. I should probably ritually unblock everyone once a year and give them a chance
@goblinodds and in some cases accepting boundaries! if you've ever been the object of non-neurotypical desire ...there can be a surprising amount of re-litigation
@default_friend I've lost friends who went no contact with their parents for things that literally would not have moved the needle on my relationship with my parents if they all occurred on the same day
I think if twitter commies really saw how deeply aesthetically/epistemically related they are to ~2012 r/atheism the disgust response alone would cure them
@TheLOSTworld_ lmfao this has transcended "bad on purpose to make you click" it is now "likely a genuine reflection of the dessicated minds of the NYT set"
