Nature’s biggest irony:
The Neem ( Azadirachta indica) famous for killing pests, but often covered in termite mud tubes. 🐜🌳
Termites targets it’s sapwood (outer layer) where insecticidal "azadirachtin" is lowest. If the tree is weak, its defenses drop.

🌱 From Desert Sands to Green Lands: Strengthening the Life on Land Through Familial Forestry 🌳

The buzz is spreading far and wide—#FamilialForestry has blossomed like a flower, a flower in full bloom!

In the small village of udsar , Sardarshahar tehsil, Churu district, lies a testament to our green journey. During the challenging COVID-19 period, we drew the first green streaks here, creating an #InstitutionalForest that now thrives with life.

This incredible transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the relentless efforts of Sarpanch representative Mr. Bhagirath Saran, our companion Mr. @DhanpatUdsar and the dedicated villagers who poured their hearts into this mission.

Today, their hard work has grown beyond this forest—they’ve created three flourishing forests in Udsar, proving that when hearts connect with greenery, a wave of afforestation follows!

These forests are not just green spaces; they’re a “living inspiration for other villages”. 🌾 At #COP16RIYADH I will proudly share Udsar’s story on the global stage, showcasing how communities can lead the way in restoring life on land.

Let’s celebrate the power of collective action and our bond with nature! 💚

✅Annually, around 1,500-2,000 semal trees or branches are cut and used for Holika Dahan festivities in Udaipur, despite legal protections under various forest acts.
✅The once-common crimson flower of the semal is now rarely seen, signalling a decline in its population due to extensive cutting.
✅Tribal members involved in cutting semal trees see it as an economic opportunity, given the low effort and cost of harvesting wild trees compared to cultivated crops.
✅The demand from urban areas, particularly for large Holika Dahan events, drives the cutting of semal trees.

आज विश्व जैवविविधता दिवस है।
इस खास अवसर पर मैं आपको मेरे गाँव धवा डोली वाइल्डलाइफ़ क्षेत्र की जैवविविधता दिखा रहा हूँ।जो मैने पिछले एक दो महीने मे अपने कैमरे से कैद की है।लोग अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पर्यावरण व जैवविविधता के ह्रास पर चिंता तो जताते हैं पर अपने गाँव की जैव विविधता को बचाने के लिए प्रयास नहीं करते।
प्रथम फोटो कॉलाज मे मेरे गाँव के बड़े जानवरों को रखा है जो क्रमशः ब्लैकबक,चिंकारा ओर नीलगाय है तो इनके सामने इनकी फ़ीमेल है।बीच के फोटो में सियार ओर लोमड़ी है।
दूसरे फोटो मे छोटे जानवर सियार के बच्चे,नेवला,गोह,मरू बिल्ली ,ख़रगोश,सांडा ओर बीच मे डेज़र्ट जर्ड,बैलेनटकामा।
तीसरे फोटो से 7 फोटो तक पक्षियों की प्रजातियाँ हैं जो की 150तरह के पक्षी यहाँ पाये जाते है
इन तस्वीरों से अंदाज़ा लगाया जा सकता है कि धवा डोली वाइल्डलाइफ़ क्षेत्र वन भूमि ना होते हुए भी आज भी जैवविविधता का हाटस्पॉट है ओर वन विभाग @ForestRajasthan को इसे वन्यजीव संरक्षण क्षेत्र घोषित करना चाहिए।
खैर ये तो मेरे गाँव की जैव विविधता है मित्रों जो 90% तक घटने के बाद भी बसी हुई है पर आपके गाँव की जैवविविधता के क्या हाल है मित्रों ज़रूर बताना।

𝟕 साल पहले 𝟏𝟖𝟒 बंदर दिखे तब लंगूर एक भी नहीं था,अब 𝟓𝟎𝟎 पार हुए लंगूर,बंदर गायब, 𝟒 से बढ़कर 𝟓𝟕 हुए लेपर्ड।
