这篇文章只能说大意是对的，但是关于当年情况的具体的细节是错误的。贝尔实验室的pdp11并不是有两个RK05硬盘。根据Dennis Ritchie的笔记，/是一块容量很小的固定磁头硬盘，/usr是一块RK05活动磁头硬盘（容量更大，但是更慢）。所以程序会优先放在/上，/usr用作用户文件。/usr的历史渊源确实是user，但是它现在的含义没有正式的定义，通常解释为User System Resource或者UNIX System Resource。

@theskilledcoder The C implementation in the picture is not optimized at all. It is not even close to push the maximum throughput of a CPU. That fact that NumPy calling a C kernel outperforms the C implementation is proving how bad the C version is.

这并不准确。NVLink和Infiniband是两套独立的网络系统，不存在Infiniband和NVLink直接交互的问题。因此也就没有再交互能力上限制第三方厂商的问题。Infiniband始终是直接和GPU交互。如果使用第三方网络系统比如以太网或者Slingshot-11或者OmniPath其实都可以和Infiniband一样的和GPU交互。因为捆绑销售造成问题的可能性更低，因为有大量的NVIDIA GPU的集群系统用的不是NVIDIA的网络解决方案。Meta的AI集群就是以太网。Top10的超级计算机也只有两套系统用的是NVIDIA自家的网络。

最关键是NVIDIA的整合策略也不是最近才开始。所以这个反垄断调查的原因就显得非常莫名其妙。

@kyleichan LK owns iDRA anyway. Tesla has anything to do with LK also producing GigaPress. The biggest impact is the supply chain. When Tesla opens factory in China, it has boosted the suppliers in China, which makes it easier to get high quality parts for any EV maker.
