it is the most inspiring place I’ve ever attended. it has every single best trait from hackathons, meetups, conferences, maker labs, hacker spaces, r&d labs, art studios and writer’s room.

Everyone who’s ever done something great has at least two things in common: they started, and they didn’t quit when things got hard. This goes for any kind of work, including programming.

all the mimetic pull in the US is to expensive cities in the US. everything is pulling toward more work, more busyness, less family time, and more anxiety

@jlongster Same with JetBrains IDEs. They always want something for you. I call it “needy software”. When I open IDE, I don’t want to do what IDE needs. I want IDE to do what I need. I want to be in charge. God bless Sublime

@hikari_no_yume Prices at Five Guys basically doubled at the start of covid. I went in and thought they had rang up some family's order instead of mine but nope.
