Member of the United Nations Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ) for the 2023 - 2025 term. Passionate runner, routine cyclist.
It was my pleasure welcoming many partners and friends from missions, the UN & beyond to celebrate #GermanUnityDay. Germany’s reunification is an event which carries a valuable message for all nations gathered here at the UN in NY - that deep divisions can be overcome peacefully.
👋 from the 🇺🇳UN International Bazaar - with cakes and bread #MadeInGermany, as part of the EU stand. Thanks to the spouses from all delegations who make this special event possible. Proceeds will benefit UN humanitarian relief programs.
Unlike the rest of the #UnitedNations family, the #ACABQ runs a lighter schedule than usual during #UNGA78 High Level Week. We still get close protection from the U.S. Coast Guard in front of our offices in the #UN Secretariat building. Thank you for your service, @USCG
Thank you @anna_ms84 & @TransAlt for a great initiative to promote cycling. Congratulations to team @UN of staff & diplomats who won first award of Transportation Alternative’s 2023 Bike Month Challenge. I was honoured to represent the UN along side the President of Staff Union.
It was such a pleasure to visit the @UN Headquarters last week and present them with the award 🏆 as winners of @TransAlt's 🚴2023 Bike Month Challenge.
Initiatives like this build community and celebrate the multiple benefits of choosing to ride a bike.

Many firsts at UNHQ in New York today: first time glass bikes, first time for my e-bike inside the compound, first time a bike parade around the rotunda and first time (and hopefully not the last) a full bike rack near the entrance. #WorldBicycleDay#UN
“#WorldBicycleDay is a call to action, urging us to embrace the bicycle as a sustainable mode of transportation.” The #UN community came together today, to celebrate #micromobility but also to address challenges like transit accessibility, inclusiveness and safety. #biketowork

I discussed with the Irish public broadcaster @rtenews about environmentally-friendly mobility and bike access at the @UN. Beyond any festive gestures during #WorldBycicleDay we need to continuously connect our lofty political objectives with the shifting trends of our societies
The UN is gearing up to celebrate World Bicycle Day tomorrow - although some cyclists point out that UN headquarters in New York isn't exactly a bike friendly workplace. #WorldBicycleDay

“Oh, wie schön ist Panama”, a country with huge potential but also facing enormous challenges. During its visit the #ACABQ discussed wealth distribution, migration, infrastructure and financial matters. It also appreciated the role of #Panama as important #UN hub for the region.
