@Apple@AppleSupport hugely frustrated by experience this morning with service. Battery on iPhone needs a service; booked Genius Bar visit - followed instructions (updated to latest iOS, backed up, Apple ID password to hand). Arrived to be told latest iOS introduced ..(1/3)
For a long time, this became the place to come to to find out what was happening in the world, but it’s just too polarised and raw these days, seemingly filled mostly with nonsense & hate. Now twitter is no more, I think it’s time to log out - it will feel odd but also cathartic!
@manypets_uk having had to raise a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman, you finally actioned and processed both parts of my claim but I’ve only received payment for the second part. Please can you raise as *another* complaint as impossible to get through on the phone.
@manypets_uk I’m really unhappy- two months after a claim, you don’t pick up the phone, you’re not answering emails. Next stop formal complaint process via the ombudsman. Not good enough.
@FranKleinig@RositaDaz48 She didn’t make a new friend. She’s just repeating a story she’s seen written somewhere else. It almost certainly never happened and the lady in the picture - whoever she is - would probably be horrified to see this story associated with her picture. It’s morally wrong to share
@sainsburys popped into your Dursley branch with baby food pouches for recycling; staff looked very confused and only have a plastic bag recycling point? https://t.co/0L5Z4aGXvY
@OctopusEnergy I see it now - you’re explaining the guaranteed prices have changed but you’re not passing this on, but you’re not communicating this on the next page, you’re hiding the pre-guarantee rise of nearly 100% for electric. What are you trying to pull? Does this count as notification?
@OctopusEnergy DREADFUL comms. You’ve managed to leave off the “new” units rates for electric and a +70% in gas and +89% in electric (it’s actually 33.72p > 63.96p / KWh before guarantee) is not “reasonably small” as stated on front page. Who approved this to be released??
@OctopusEnergy You’ve ENTIRELY missed the point
- the prices haven’t changed “slightly” BEFORE the guarantee. They’ve changed significantly. Maybe you mean the guaranteed prices have varied bit this is HUGELY misleading
- your letter doesn’t list the “pre-guarantee” electric price (does gas)
@MartinSLewis another horrible bit of marketing by a company that prides itself on its ESG credentials. Just ripping people off by misleading them into thinking they’re buying a product that they’re not.
@waitrose , @asda , @Tesco , @sainsburys we’re in a cost of living crisis. Makes me quite annoyed that an identical product available on your shelves that is long life is sold in an almost-identical package for more money and shorter date in your chiller. #CostOfLivingCrises
@fogster74@rcsmit @RobertBrugman Hey again! We offer both to make it easier for people to make the swap from dairy and we simply wanted to have a place next to the chilled cows milk section in your local supermarkets!
If you read the thread, we finally get Oatly to confirm both products are identical and it’s just the packaging that varies ever-so-slightly. This is just misleading; there’s some assumption the chilled product is “fresher”; it’s not, it’s idential. Gosh @oatly what a home goal.
@MartinSLewis what are they trying to suggest here? Is this a way of softening the blow to consumers who find rates will double when the guarantees come to an end?
@oatly I’d rather continue this here, in the public domain. You’ve learned nothing of the sort; what you have learned is that you can trick your customers into paying more money for an inferior (in terms of shelf life) product. They’re not making an informed choice - you know this.
@oatly can you tell me what the difference is between these two, other than the one on the left says “keep refrigerated” and has a much shorter date on it? They appear identical looking at the ingredients and nutritional info?
@deheij@rcsmit@oatly @RobertBrugman Wow this is amazing. I always respected @oatly but this seems scandalous - tricking people into paying more money for what is arguably (in terms of shelf life at least) an inferior product whereas they think they’re getting something better. Awful!!!!
@oatly You’re digging yourself an even deeper hole! What is stopping a retailer putting the “shelf” version in the chiller, offering a product at a lower cost and a longer life - for the identical product?
