Just randomly remembered the first patient I ever had with testicular torsion.
He was a university student. He came in three days after the pain started.
By the time we saw him, the pain had stopped so we thought it was epididymo-orchitis.
My registrar asked us to discharge him.
So I did.
Then the consultant came to review.
"There are no urinary symptoms," he said. "This is probably testicular torsion. Prep for theatre."
Me: Sir, I've already discharged him based on what my chief said.
He just looked at us and said,
"Go and find him."
Guys.
I searched his folder. The number didn't go through. Called his next of kin, his mum. She told me he was on campus.
I went to his university.
Found the president of his department's association, explained to him and he helped find the class rep for his level
He knew the patient but not his address. He called friends. One friend called another. Five calls later, we had an address.
I went there. Picked him up. Brought him back.
Five hours in total. The theatre was already prepared.
Sadly, the testis was already gangrenous and had to be removed. But operating still mattered because it reduced the risk of complications in the remaining testis.
As far as torsion is concerned, time is the organ. Every hour matters.
Maybe that's part of why I chose surgery. The ability to make a difference in patient's lives and go the extra miles for them.

Please share this. Pls patronise him.
I don’t know why people forget I am still a surgeon, since I got the NDC House of Representative ticket for Surulere 1. People call me Honorable and have removed the surgeon from my name, anyway Saturday I had endoscopic sinus surgery by 7am and by evening I became a politician
Most people get about 30 to 35 working years before retirement. That’s the whole game.
Waste the first 10 chasing lifestyle and building nothing, and you’ve burned a third of it.
Catching up later is brutal. Start in your 40s and you’ll need to invest 3 to 4 times more each month to reach the same place.
Same destination. Far heavier price.
Your early years aren’t for flexing. They’re your runway. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
@MrMekzy_ And you have no business getting angry at someone who couldn’t meet up to send you the money they promised you. Give them time or sort yourself out.
They called her a mistake. They told me to abort her. That I was too young, too unprepared, and that having her would ruin my life."
But I refused. I stood my ground. I chose to keep her and raise her — despite the fear, the shame, and the overwhelming uncertainty. It wasn’t easy. There were days I cried in silence, nights I went to bed hungry just to make sure she had something to eat.
But every time I looked into her eyes, I saw hope. I saw a future. I saw someone worth fighting for. That little girl gave me the strength to keep going, to dream bigger, and to believe that our story wouldn’t end in struggle.
And now — look at us. Guess who’s the proud mother of the latest graduate?
From “a mistake” to a milestone, my daughter has made me the proudest mother in the world. This moment makes every sacrifice worth it."- bisola Aiyeola
Let's celebrate this beautiful mom and daughter
Happy 17th birthday @Laila age with massive grace dear

Just yesterday, I valued a property in Ilorin for mortgage purpose and it was worth over 200m around Tanke area.
I recently watched this video again about Ilorin Innovation Hub, arguably the largest innovation hub in West Africa and it’s located in Ilorin, Kwara State again. The investor didn’t pick Lagos or Abuja. Very soon, Kwara will be the digital colony of Nigeria because of this edifice.
What do investors look out for before investing in an area? This project is massive. 🔥
