At a Guns N’ Roses show in St. Louis, Axl Rose stormed off stage after spotting a fan taking photos during “Rocket Queen”, blaming “lame-ass security” and saying he was “going home.” A riot ensued, destroying the band’s equipment. The incident caused a four-year US touring hiatus for the band due to legal issues; it became known as the Riverport Riot.
