@ozsats256@AvidCommentator I wouldn’t call it communist beliefs, its more like late stage capitalism beliefs. Where the system isn’t working anymore so they add migrants and government spending (ie ndis) to cover up the mess.
@FarceForce5@DonMiami3 But toyota has been in the hybrid models since early 2000, almost 30 years. I drive the old prius from my auto dealer that i borrow when i drop my car for service and seems to work just fine. Is yours a new toyota hybrid?
@AvidCommentator I have friends that are sitting on big paper gains and want to sell but won't sell because “it’s not a good time”. The "property only goes up" mindset is strong. But based on recent changes, I think the upside from waiting is smaller than the downside risk of holding on.
@Powers055@ausstockchick Do you think more than 50% of middle class have a mortgage? What cooks the middle and lower class is inflation. Unless you’re over-leveraged, then I understand your concern but the majority could sell their house at a massive profit so…
@TheKouk Its only real wealth if you sell. Until then, it is just an expectation, and housing market in Australia is priced to assume that every house can be sold at the offer price at any moment. Until there are more sellers than buyers & that’s when price discovery fun starts.
@bantee1995@ausstockchick Its not investors fault, they’ve been playing the game. The problem is banks, excessively low rates and uber favourable tax treatments. Now the gov is trying to avoid the downturn with spending, agree that isnt helping the fight against inflation, but that’s not the cause.
@rtenews Check who consumes your water, you know what big tech needs to use to control temperature on data centres? Ireland brought all these big global tax evaders in, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
@Auswagerage@CrazyAboutVegas@ausstockchick What? Money printing, low interest rates and over leveraging on something that “only goes up” is what got OZ into this mess. Just sell, take the profit, enjoy life 🤗
@Simon_9000_@aparachick@TheKouk You were comparing au with other countries and asking why? I just answered, because our rates are lower than what they should be. But you cant acknowledge that? Your bias is clear.
@Simon_9000_@aparachick@TheKouk Incorrect. The reason is that our interest rate is maliciously low compared to other countries with similar or even lower inflation. Better to ask google instead of just blaming it on immigrants
