!FACT CHECK!
.@chicagosmayor keeps telling the same falsehood that General Iron isn't moving to the SE side. That it's just a "asset sale".
She did it again yesterday.
Here are the facts and why @chicagosmayor is dead wrong:
📢 Listen up folks! 📢
Tell da @chicagosmayor that her zoning changes don't cut it!
—the zoning changes still allow NEW polluters to come to Chicago
—And the changes still allow General Iron to come to SE Chicago
We got to SPEAK UP! Here's what we got to do:
#stopgeneraliron
"@SSadlowskiGarza confirmed she first learned of the permit’s issuance in Wednesday’s email and has not yet notified ward residents because she needed “to be more well-versed” in what the permit actually means before doing so."
Translation: SHE TRIED TO HIDE IT

Southeast Side of Chicago community fears General Iron company that threatens moving to their neighborhood. Community members fear more pollution coming to an already polluted area. See 360 view: https://t.co/xV5uQtLpJM #uicdigital
@natalieymoore we could use your attention on General Iron coming down here to the Southeast side. @chicagosmayor hasn't lifted a finger to stop this environmental racism and @GovPritzker has just pointed the finger to others as their problem.
@GinaRamirez311 @OBauti @JR_AngelRN
@sciencejon@jencwalling We are worried about the environmental racism that the mayor and governor are participating in. Have you not paid any attention to General Iron?
