AI Opportunity - Part 1

Whenever a regime falls, wealth exchanges hands. Suddenly, the people who had no access find themselves with access.

However, regime change doesn’t only happen in the political arena. It also occurs in the tech arena. Whenever a new technology arrives, it turns former winners into losers and former unknowns into winners.

That’s the opportunity AI brings. It evens the playing field so that the startup can compete with the incumbent without the burden of past success.

Look at every business around you and ask yourself how AI will disrupt it. When you see it, that becomes your vision as you build the foundation.

What does the music studio of tomorrow look like? Will the producer create beats or instruct AI to create beats? Will the producer direct the artist on how to sing, or will AI direct the artist? What will stop people from creating quality music on their phones? Will music producer still be necessary? Only time will tell.

In a landmark policy shift, Egypt has approved direct university admission for technical school graduates into computer science and artificial intelligence (AI) programmes—smashing a long-standing barrier.
This reform lets graduates from five-year and three-year technical schools, applied technology schools, and post-secondary technical institutes specialising in AI and computing compete directly for university places. For the first time, students from institutions like Telecom Egypt’s WE ICT Schools can chase higher education in tech fields.
Egypt’s reform echoes bold Middle Eastern moves to link vocational training with university access, with nations like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan seeing that traditional academic paths alone can’t fuel the soaring demand for AI and digital talent.
