@oliveegger In dna communities we call it "Old Stock" for those whose ancestors came during the colonial era. My husband is a legal immigrant and would not consider himself an American in the same way as I am one. Genetically 94% British & Irish and could join DAR through numerous ancestors.

@Kentuckygirl1 I have 2 but did want more. I had a third pregnancy that ended in miscarriage and at my age now (41) and my kids now being 20 and 14, not sure I'd want to try again. My husband doesn't want anymore regardless so even if I did, it's a no go, but yes, I wish I could have had more!
