@ironchefbuu@suekhim If you live near a city, you can find 5.0 tennis (former D1) pretty easily. You do have a point that most adults (even athletic ones) will struggle to pick up the full repertoire of tennis technique. Great sport for kids though, and certainly more useful than most team sports
@jonwu_ This feels like romanticizing losing yourself, not parenting advice, you can choose kids and still keep a life, boundaries matter, codependence shouldn't be framed as a virtue
@AgustinLebron3@tennisabstract Peteโs stats by slam particularly eye-opening too. So dominant on grass. That was a great era (Agassi/Pete/Russians on hard courts, an array of Europeans taking the French). Pretty homogeneous slams by surface lately, especially this year (Sincaraz)
@AgustinLebron3@tennisabstract John McEnroe won 423 matches on indoor courts, ie 47.9% of 883 matches he won in his career. Thatโs insane to be almost 50-50 indoor/outdoor wins. This is a cool discrepancy chart (grand slam w/l ratio by surface): https://t.co/VAgpEomTEC
@ExaltedFoks Had the same thought last week. Only one I donโt mind is Nike tennis gear, but [only] when Iโm playing tennis. Wearing tennis/running gear to the gym is not ideal
