Uber’s COO has said that it’s getting “harder to justify” its AI costs because there was no way to show a link between AI spend and any meaningful increase in useful features. This is the first time I’ve seen a company say this directly.

Always make a jig.
Whenever I'm making something that's repetitive or highly dynamic, I try and make a tool to aid me.
For the categorization quiz in Pica, each font card hops into the style you select. I made this lil curved path editor to dial it in.
i built https://t.co/8dtoS1BdDx to solve this issue!!
arcotype sorts all of the 2000+ fonts on google fonts for the first time by visual similarity + vibe tagging for easier browsing & searching
no more defaulting to inter anymore haha
If you could see my draft folder:
“Figma Make is the best ever!”
“Figma Make sucks so bad!”
“Figma Make is the real goat.”
“NEVER use Figma Make.”
“OMG I love Figma Make so much.”
“Figma Make me wanna scream.”
I think right now I’m at “Figma Make is really fun…at first.”
One of the most slept on use cases of @framer's design pages is using it as a place to host your template documentation.
Your project stays organised and your customers get a better experience, win-win.
As software gets easier to make, the products that stand out will be the ones crafted with uncommon care.
If that's the kind of work you want to do, I'm sharing everything I know:

Apple cooked so hard in their visionOS Figma file, here are some cool details:
1️⃣ Segmented Control edge effect uses a gradient stroke? Nope, that’s 4 Inner Shadows baby
2️⃣ Hover effect columnar mask with TWO radial gradient fills using COLOR DODGE blend mode 🔥
3️⃣ Search field = 3 color fills (50% grey Color Burn, 10% black Luminosity, 18% blue tint) all below the blurry colors layer which is an image in the Figma file, but dynamically rendered live on device.
4️⃣ Button label text fill uses a 25% white fill with Lighten blend mode below a medium grey fill set to Color Dodge. Feels like they could’ve just used Soft Light or Overlay and not needed both fills?
