From the island’s coasts to its sloping mountain ranges, Puerto Rico’s tropical forests teem with biodiversity.
But these forests are even more diverse than they appear at first glance: When it comes to how they use water, trees in Puerto Rico are surprisingly individualistic.
A recently published study reveals that in these forests, two trees belonging to the same species can vary wildly in how they transport, manage, and store water, depending on how dry it is in their specific habitats.
The findings suggest Puerto Rico’s tropical forests may be more resilient to drought than once thought and point toward better ways to model forests’ responses to future climate change.

All the people confused as to why some are mad and frustrated that FOX showed ads during the hydration break… It’s the principle and integrity of it all. The sport was not made for putting ads. Only at halftime. It’s okay to hold up that integrity and principle. Telemundo Won.
@B1GDuckEnergyy They aren’t the Chicago Bears anymore so they can’t be called that anymore. That is just a fact. Because of that, I can’t support them anymore.
Welp… I am no longer able to support the Bears since they are now no longer a Chicago based team or even an Illinois based team. It was fun while it lasted.

Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch captured this video of Earth outside the windows of the Orion spacecraft during the second flight day of the mission. Orion was roughly 33,800 miles (54,500 km) away from Earth when @Astro_Christina took this video.
The way the U.S.A. is dealing with the upcoming World Cup is absolutely horrendous. FIFA pricing in the U.S.A. is a different matter (also horrendous). But it seems that it won’t bring the ‘world’ together, at least on the in the U.S.A.
