This Sunday I'm hosting a wagecel dinner in Hong Kong.
15 of the most mediocre mid-level employees at so-so companies, all gathered in one place for one night, breaking bread with each other.
No networking, just real conversation and vibes. Only a few spots left. DMs open.
yesterday, i was having a conversation with a friend (russian italian) on how some people from different countries (and cultures) are less straightforward than others. particularly the british people, they have a way of being very indirect, and making you read them.
i personally think that you need to be as straightforward as possible in life. you should be so blunt that people would stop asking you stupid questions. when i was in gradeschool, i remember my teacher taught us in class that there was no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people. that was something that i had always remembered up till today
Can’t believe some people expect you to tell white lies to make them feel better in life. Was talking to a friend who got mad at me because I wouldn’t lie about something I didn’t like. White lies are one of the most absurd social concepts to me

I think most people multi-tasking with agents could benefit from slowing down
most of the stuff you're doing wont really matter- what's your P0? what would it look like if you gave it your full attention?

Can't catch a break these past 4 years, am falling apart physically
• left elbow UCL tear (bjj)
• left rotator cuff tear (wrestling)
• right ATFL/AITFL tear and ankle fracture (judo)
I was about to buy a 3rd Claude Max plan today when I thought about this again.
I feel like orchestrators for coding agents (T3, Paseo, Conductor, etc.) has made this much bigger of a problem than ever before. Being able to multi-task so easily, has shortened that feedback loop to the point where you're able to get some results every few minutes –– even if it's bad or useless. It's almost like short-form content, but you don't feel like you're wasting time.
This is one of the rare weeks where I emptied out 2 Max plans without any resets, but I don't know how some people could be using 4-5 Max plans regularly. At that point, I think there has to be a certain amount of output that is completely garbage
I think vibe-coding is going to be a huge time sink for most people without coding backgrounds, and most people aren't going to realise this until they're many months in. They get nice dopamine hits when completing small tasks that were once impossible to do, but as they start having more elaborate ideas, they start to end up running around in circles. This feels like the AR/VR hype all over again, can't wait for it to end
