Three critically missing children, ages 1½ to 17, have been rescued thanks to “Operation Northern Lights,” a massive federal-led effort involving U.S. Marshals, local sheriffs, and dozens of agencies.

Acting U.S. Marshal Greg Leljedal called it “the most successful missing child operation ever conducted in Northern Florida,” noting that 43 endangered children will now be home safe for the holidays.

Children were found across North Florida and even in other states including Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Immediate care was provided, arrests were made, and potential trafficking cases are now under investigation.
