Can’t begin to think how excited my old man would have been today. Little throwback in his honour at a difficult time of year with Father’s Day coming up, his birthday along with the anniversary of his death Monday, here’s hoping for a #Scotland win to have plenty to smile about
84 years ago, the Japanese brutally massacred 21 young Australian Nurses on Radji beach in what is now Indonesia. The only survivor ,Vivian Bullwinkel , dedicated her life to ensuring her fallen colleagues were never forgotten. Please spare a thought for their sacrifice today.

Prof @Kevin_Fong giving the most devastating and moving testimony to the Covid Inquiry of visiting hospital intensive care units at the height of the second wave in late Dec 2020.
The unimaginable scale of death, the trauma, the loss of hope.
Please watch this 2min clip.
🆕The Scottish statistics for 2023 show a 4% increase in suicide deaths compared to 2022.
The suicide rate in males was more than 3 times that for females.
Rates in the most deprived areas were 2.5 times as high as those in least deprived areas in Scotland.
Every single death is heartbreaking, leaving behind devastated families, friends and communities.
Similar to other countries, sadly an increase is not unexpected given the challenges of recent years, including the cost of living crisis and the economic downturn which have led to financial and social hardship for so many.
We need to continue to do everything we can to ensure that those at risk of suicide receive the care and support that they need when they need it.
