@BitmundFreud Because he can more easily raise capital when BTC is in bull market. At the bottom nobody is buying his stock. He know it that's why he says he'll buy the top forever... That's when everyone is giving him money!
@investanswers Is it possible that Bitcoin are simply moving from exchanges to ETF where they are still quite liquid even more than on exchanges given that lot of people hold their ETFs in tax exempt or tax deferred accounts so they can sell without any tax event. What am I missing?
@APompliano It's because most of working class don't understand that they are the one paying 10% tax on everything imported. Finance folks they understand that. US government will become extremely wealthy with this new tax but it's at the expense of the citizens.
@APompliano Tariff theory will be 2025 version of Keynes economic theory. Majority of people will believe it because they want it to be true. In the end it's just government intervention that's messing up with the economy.
@APompliano Ok so everyone here believes in free market and economic laissez faire except for tariff where we are ok with governments that apply arbitrary taxes on a day to day basis as a bargaining chip for issues not related to economy like border control.
@APompliano We share the longest border in the world and have been allies forever. Economic war between Canada and USA will surely harm Canada more than USA but it will harm USA as well. How many years of tariffs will be needed to pay for 5 thousand miles of wall ?
@shreyshahi@pmarca Could also be the fact that French speaking Canadian are of French/Latin descent whereas English speaking are more of Anglo Saxon descent. Attributing the difference on the language barrier only is a bit of a shortcut IMHO given the numerous cultural differences between us.
@benjamincowen Québec City in Canada. Still very difficult. We have to hire in France to fulfill engineers and technicians positions in high tech industry. Feels like the wind might be turning but very very slowly.
