The claim has apparently been removed from the article. The screenshots shared in responses are not present. Aren't articles meant to say when they were edited? If this claim was made and then quietly redacted, it begins to smell a lot more of fearmongering and bad journalism.

@noUpside@JayGordonMDFAAP I am more and more in favour of homeopathy the more i read about the power of placebos. oc people shouldn't use them for life-threatening things, but placebos (like homeopathy) have a crucial role to play in medicine. I don't think it's quite the same as flat-earth stuff.

@3blue1brown I found getting into electronics to be incredibly illumina-- perception altering. I imagine everything just looks like wires to an electrician.
