@MarcieBandwidth@ElenaBoboc52984@jonnycollage AND they don't bother to propagandize for socialism when they go on these pods, they just affirm his fascism and claim it's compatible with communism (when your communism is just fascism with Stalin's face stamped on, of course fascism is compatible with it)
@secondbyfarce@steventorbes gift cards are essentially discounts you buy for someone else, right? A spends x money and B gets to spend less money. I'm not sure if this is even a financial operation, but if it is, it's an IOU from the company, not the consumers (the loan is not given by starbucks here)
@secondbyfarce@FidoLives1917@ba_doodle look, you should address the argument a least. the british economy by that point was primarily capitalist, right? the relations between the colonies and england were likewise. so, by severing them, they were not severing themselves from feudalism, meaning there was no revolution
@StephenElsberry@Ghost_Of_Jak furthermore, foreign languages press (prc publisher translating their works) themselves called it the Chinese communist party until more recently. ultimately people call it the ccp because that's what the party called it, that they stopped calling it that isn't others' fault.
@StephenElsberry@NewPerspectives I don't think that's quite true, but he did always talk about qualitative transformations (collectivize both industry and agriculture to achieve socialism, turn collective property into property of the whole people). He did directly repudiate the productive forces theory in 1952.
@rem_lev@kukukechu@catgirlprostate and it doesn't stop you from remembering successful solutions and applying them, or even using them to make brand new ones, in the future. which is what learning is.
@rem_lev@kukukechu@catgirlprostate it doesn't offload anything any more than looking through forum posts to solve the same issue does. the only way to be "better" about it is to learn everything about how drives work and synthesize a solution from base principles... and we already offloaded this to professionals
@Guccideng@CubanMLM@HakuraKonami@x00ge_ii63 and if you read anything in the current era it's even worse. classes are basically never discussed, private property is enshrined in everything and its abolition is explicitly forsworn, and any future transformation is towards greater "democracy", "prosperity", "beauty"...
@Guccideng@CubanMLM@HakuraKonami@x00ge_ii63 if you read anything by cpc since then you'd know this to be bull. even reading deng shows this, because the private property was no longer a contradiction with socialism in his theory, i.e. private ownership is compatible with communism; it's all about "abundance" with him.
@ricravenous@JeanGreige it's just so ass. every marxist until the destruction of the socialist camp was saying, as exploitation is abolished, as people's conditions improve, and people are taught to think scientifically they will need religion less and less. now we hear that religiosity growing is great
@ricravenous@JeanGreige what do you mean religion wasn't declining?! if china's religiosity is growing today, that means there is somewhere for it to grow from, i.e. the non-religious population was greater before, and it certainly was not greater in 1901 than in 1970, after anti-religion policies.
@JeanGreige they did propagandize atheism. they didn't put people in jail for praying, but they taught people to think scientifically and discouraged belief in the supernatural. this is reasonable, and it's bizarre you are acting like this milquetoast socialist policy is dangerous
