In other words: Virginia families making minimum wage ARE STILL LIVING IN POVERTY.

Even worse in expensive regions like NoVA.

Maryland and DC minimum wage are *already $11.75 and $15.20.

So no popping champagne. We can barely afford koolaid.

But a $15 min wage is *already behind a living wage. And actually we must vote again in ‘23 to raise it to $15 in ‘26 (no one mentions this).

Federal poverty is $26,500 for a family of 4.
