The eclipse was more impressive than I could have imagined. As soon as it reached the total phase, the people cheered and yelled. It was an expression of sheer joy.
I am so happy for @nadeler to finally have this moment.
45 years.
The nightmare of 2011.
He is Rangers baseball to so many.
Hall of Famer.
World Series Champion broadcaster.
For all of us, since 1979, @nadeler has been the singular voice of our summers. Tonight, he got to call the final MLB game of the season- a Rangers win and a World Championship. Eric, on behalf of Rangers fans everywhere- our biggest and most heartfelt Thank You. For everything.
I am so happy. The baseball team, Texas Rangers, that I have followed all my life finally won the World Series. I am thinking of my dad who taught me baseball and to watch baseball. Beautiful that we won on All Saints Day since we could not win it two months to the day he died
And with that the Texas Rangers are 2023 World Series champions.
They won 2 games at home in these playoffs, but were 11-0 on the road.
Go crazy folks, we got a parade to plan.
#worldseries
Ken Griffey, Jr had just two ejections in his career. His first came by way of Jim Joyce. The GEICO commercial with Junior and the ump….? That’s Jim Joyce, which makes the “He’s done this to me before,” a great inside joke.
The 2023 baseball season will be remembered for one thing.
The year baseball was saved from a dreadful disease that was killing the sport. Games that dragged on forever.
The pitch clock was the greatest innovation in the history of the game.
End of discussion
Seriously!
Americans commentating on this with “but… where do they park?”… is both quite funny and extremely sad.
So happy not to live or have grown up in a place were you’d need a car to go everywhere and anywhere
On April 30th, #TCU lost to Texas to fall to 23-20 on the season.
Now they're 44-23 and one of the final four teams standing in the College World Series. An absolutely wild run.
Between what fans raised with the @luptonbeers push and @JDonati_TCU concessions efforts, #TCU has raised over $50,000 for Indiana Special Olympics.
Way to go, Frog fans. That's incredible.
