@mikedrake178@LindseyGrahamSC@NateSilver538 Remember: when a republican accuses something it's because they want to get out in front of it and THEY ARE GUILTY OF THE THING ACCUSED.
@SpeakerMcCarthy@GOPoversight If that's even true - dubious coming from you - A. I'm sure you've broken ethics/governance rules revealing it.
B. PROVE IT and PROSECUTE IT. You know - with real facts and in a court of law.
Otherwise - quit bloviating.
@JonathanTurley Is this really the compelling issue of the day? Don't you have anything consequential to muse about other than "cancel culture". Crikey, you imagine yourself a thinker - act like one.
@GuntherEagleman@RepNancyMace@zerohedge "True" conservatives maintain the integrity of the country and don't default on already accumulated debt.
Try to understand - this is for spending that's ALREADY IN PLACE - how about working toward budget priorities going forward and paying the bills you already accumulated?
@RepNancyMace How about paying for what you and your colleagues already approved/appropriated and then - separately - working for a budget that aligns with your priorities going forward? Or is that just too much work? Pay the bills you accumulated - just like you expect everyone else to.
@patmcguinness@Chrisvance123@NateSilver538 It's not his policies - which are anemic - I.e. no big ideas.
It's his divisiveness, lack of decorum, rants against our institutions and his blatant flouting of law.
He's not legally allowed to run a charity & lost a lawsuit because he defrauded students? That's a leader?
@Chrisvance123@NateSilver538 Why do you want a "return" to that? That seems to have been the gestation for what's here now.
Republicans have ideas worth discussing, why do we always have to go backwards? Can we come to some common understanding that the government actually has legitimacy and a role to play?
@JonathanTurley Why do you insist on pretending you know people's motivations? You don't. Don't say "Alvin Bragg knew...." that's conjecture. You don't know what's in someone's mind or why they did what they did.
@Audrakat@Mission2Educate@JonathanTurley IMHO we should vigorously prosecute people who abuse their public position to enrich themselves.
As a private citizen trump somehow evaded prosecution - entrapping others. Then as president to cater to his greedy and petty whims. He's a mafioso. He should be in prison.
@NYYRC There's a lot wrapped up in your statement but mostly ignorance and fantasy.
Doesn't the NYY Republican club have any actual ideas to debate or move OUR country forward?
Or is it all about love for your "guy" who just happens to be a petty vacuous opportunist?
@Rich_Newton_@TheRickWilson And 100's of thousands dead because of COVID denial, and graft beyond your comprehension, and criminal misconduct, and deregulation that you can blame on others, and destroying America's institutions, etc... But you know, cheese was cheaper.
@SlopeRocker @TheRickWilson Did anybody think any of these folks have the strength of their convictions? They just say whatever is in their head in the moment.
I hope nobody believed he wasn't going to cave.
Oh, and he's not a terrorist, just a weasel.
