There is very little ‘green’ about the Green Party these days, Labour are not the party of the working man, Conservatives have abandoned conservative policies and there are serious doubts Reform will make any material changes to current trends…

1/ NEW: The net zero economy is now supporting:
✅Over 1m jobs
✅£105bn in GVA
✅22,000 small businesses
This analysis from @CBItweets is a reminder that net zero is a great British success story. And exactly why this Government is doubling down.

A few months ago, we launched a new monthly note available only to current subscribers. It cuts through the daily noise, identifying larger themes. It's now open to outside of Hedge Fund Telemetry subs as an à la carte note. https://t.co/SnNx0wkxrg
surprised that countries w/large production of #corn & #sugar & simultaneously large oil/energy importers have not seized opportunity to develop more robust domestic energy industries thru biofuel making their economies more resilient and energy secure...Australia, Thailand...
Neil’s narrator adds:
Since the Brexit referendum the UK economy has grown faster than Germany, France and Italy, which are all still in the EU. So much for the Brexit drag.
The higher inflation, higher interest rates and poor fiscal position are overwhelmingly the result of the economic policies of previous Tory governments, exacerbated by the current Labour one, which continued to borrow too much, tax too much, spend too much. Hence the UK’s high gilt yields. Brexit didn’t even have a walk on role.
After 18 months of “standing up to Putin” the Labour govt quietly issued a licence allowing imports of Russian oil refined in third countries.
Yesterday Labour MPs voted AGAINST UK oil and gas licences.
We are now importing from Russia instead of drilling in the North Sea.
Insane.
So ministers are campaigning to win a seat they already had, for a candidate that wants to replace the PM that they have full confidence in and claim is going nowhere.
And we are meant to pretend this is all perfectly normal.
We may disagree with the politics of Reform and @ZiaYusufUK, but as campaigners we have always stood against the Online Safety Act for precisely this reason: its dangerously vague scope inevitably results in the weaponisation of content moderation and censorship.
When the Conservatives introduced this draconian legislation, spearheaded by Nadine Dorries and shamefully supported by Labour, those politicians were either hopelessly naive to its implications or secretly hoped they would always be the ones benefitting from this arrangement.
Social media platforms, including TikTok, are, whether we like it or not, the modern public square. It is absolutely not the place of Big Tech companies to act as the arbiters of political discourse. Every party has the right to propose their policies - no matter how much we may personally disagree with them - and for them to face scrutiny from the public, who will deliver their verdict at the polling booth.
We hope that one day Labour MPs will come to realise the extent of the damage the Online Safety Act has done to freedom of speech online.
We shall continue to fight against it and champion digital freedom for all.🌹
The Online Safety Act is being used to censor political debate in this country. This isn't about taking sides - I don't want the Greens censored anymore than Reform. This legislation was never about keeping us "safe". It was always about limiting what people can say and what they can see and hear. Speak out now - before you lose that right altogether.
In the @Telegraph I talk about @Ed_Miliband's idiotic plan to make new oil and gas drilling illegal
He claims to want secure home grown clean energy but prefers to import hydrocarbons that are dirtier than the ones we produce
The contradiction is obvious to everyone except him apparently
The other worrying aspect is that the proposed Bill is framework legislation which effectively gives ministers a blank cheque to deal with what can be extremely important details later with secondary legislation and statutory instruments which attract little scrutiny
What is it about this @UKLabour government that wants to avoid accountability. They tried to cancel elections and now they're trying to swerve proper Parliamentary scrutiny

Norway, a country with just over 5 million people, manages the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund — worth nearly $2 trillion. This translates to around $340,000 for every citizen, making it one of the richest countries per capita.
The fund was built from oil revenues, but instead of spending it all, Norway invested globally in stocks, bonds, and green energy projects. It serves as a safety net for future generations, ensuring the country’s wealth continues long after oil production declines.
Norway’s model is admired worldwide as an example of smart resource management. It shows how natural resources can be transformed into long-term prosperity when governments prioritize sustainability and financial discipline.
The Prime Minister has banned eleven foreign “far-right agitators” from entering the UK to attend the Unite the Kingdom rally – all of whom have spoken out against mass uncontrolled migration.
Among the 11 individuals barred by the Government is US-based anti-Islam campaigner Valentina Gomez, who attended the first Unite the Kingdom rally last year with no problems.
Another is Canadian journalist ezralevant – a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for advancing freedom of expression. The Free Speech Union has taken on his case.
In another striking display of disregard for civil liberties, the Prime Minister issued a statement on Friday saying: "Its organisers are peddling hatred and division, plain and simple. We will block those coming into the UK who seek to incite hatred and violence.
"For anyone who sets out to wreak havoc on our streets, to intimidate or threaten anyone, you can expect to face the full force of the law."
The Starmer Government should be willing to defend its policies in the face of criticism – both foreign and domestic – not ban conservative critics from entering the UK.
The Met Police have confirmed that they will be using live facial recognition for the first time. In the two-tier system we are all becoming far too aware of, it has been reported that it will be focused more on the Unite the Kingdom rally than the pro-Palestine Nakba Day march.
The Crown Prosecution Service has also issued new guidance for prosecutors to consider whether protest placards, banners, and chants viewed on social media may amount to offences of stirring up hatred.
Stephen Parkinson, the Director of Public Prosecutions – a role Starmer once held – has said: “This is not about restricting free speech. It is about preventing hate crime and protecting the public, particularly at a time of heightened tensions.”
If you have to say it isn’t about restricting free speech, it almost always is.
@Keir_Starmer
A Prime Minister should calm tensions not inflame them.
What we are witnessing from you is the deliberate use of divisive rhetoric, fear and misinformation from the highest office in the country.
This is utterly disgraceful
When political leaders start framing entire groups of people as threats for political gain, they poison public discourse and deepen hostility across society.
This is not leadership.
It is reckless, inflammatory politics designed to divide Britain.
The standards expected of ordinary citizens should apply equally to those in power.
