@LarryScaf @nicosso They do when you start a war in the middle of the main oil producing regions in the world. A bit different than oh no the world is opening back up. But you knew that didn't you
@cafreiman How about lets also have a law that Uber and Lyft have to pay a minimum of 80% of the fare they collect to the drivers after any taxes/fees. Too often I take an Uber where I pay $40 and the driver gets like $15
@RainshadowPass@JayNNix@vintagemapstore It is when most of the country is going to go for one party or the other despite how you vote. Why do you think we have low voter turn outs
@RainshadowPass@JayNNix@vintagemapstore Yes but look at all the people that aren't counted. The largest number of republicans in any state is California. Why even bother voting if your vote won't matter. Same with democrats and Texas
@RainshadowPass@JayNNix@vintagemapstore States that don't reliably vote democrat or republican consistently in the last 5-6 elections 20-25 years. I.e. pennsylvania, Ohio, wisconsin, Michigan etc. 19 states vote safe democrat - 225 votes. 24 states vote safe republican 218 votes. The swing states have less than 1/3 pop
@RainshadowPass@JayNNix@vintagemapstore Use both. Just answer. Here is an article discussing positive and negatives about EC

@RainshadowPass@JayNNix@vintagemapstore I didn't say anything with math... I understand fractions may be hard. All I said was if enough people dislike the Electoral college it can be changed
@SawyerMerritt so this is still an unfair amount.
$130/18.4 cents/gallon is about 706 gallons
The average American drives about 13500-15000 miles so about 21.1mpg (15k). The average car on the roads gets about 24.4mpg (old and new) so they use about 614 gallons a year or about $113 in tax.
