One of the Greatest and Earliest Propagators of Islam in the Subcontinent,
Data Ali Hijweri (b;400H), confirms the Aqīdah of Afzaliyyat for Muslims;
"No one has the audacity to step ahead of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, the best of all creation after the Prophets"

1. I don't think asking a question constitutes slander :)
2. You don't have to make it about Barelvi vs Deobandi (our teacher has recently refuted people who purport that they are Barelvis for this very error)
3. The explanation isn't really satisfactory for multiple reasons...
Ok, so tell us, is it bid'ah to believe that Allah is existent in every place with his being, Yes or No?
Every Ashari/Maturidi across the world believes it is bid'ah, now let's hear it from you, because if you indeed concede to that, then you'll have to tabdī' many deo scholars
The brother Mubeen Raza has brought an out of context clip of Mawlana Ilyās sb, where he supposedly says that Allah is everywhere in his Dhat.
The reality is that the clip has been taken heavily out of context. It is clear to anyone who listens to the full dars, that this is referring to the Ma'iyyah of Allah while still referring that Allah is free from a Makan. So Allah's being "everywhere" is one of Ma'iyyah and Qurb, as he clarifies in this recent video of his: https://t.co/uStOHoiG3u
Now that we understand the full context that this Barelwī removed, what is the ruling on saying this?
Muftī Riḍāʾ al-Ḥaqq sb writes,
If the speaker, by affirming place for Allāh Taʿālā, intends that Allāh Taʿālā is present in every place, and that His existence has no “how” - i.e., in every place without modality, without occupying a place, and His reality being unknown; rather, it is among the mutashābihāt - then this belief is correct and sound. Its interpretation is the maʿiyyah without modality, in consideration of His manifestation; some of the Ṣūfiyyah have chosen this view. And we shall mention its sources in the answer to the second question.
But if he intends that Allāh Taʿālā is in every place, and its modality is known, then this creed is corrupt without doubt.

The first belief being described is not describing Allah to be in a Makān, rather it is affirming transcendance for Allah above Makān by saying He is everywhere, just like we say time does not apply to Allah, so we say He existed in every time, and this is correct; Or it is affirming that Allah is everywhere with his knowledge (or any other suitable interpretation) instead of literally being everywhere with his Dhāt, which will be explained in the next scan. And this is what Mawlāna Ilyās sb was saying.
Now, will this Barelwī criticise ʾImām al-Kawtharī for saying the same thing as Mawlāna Ilyās sb?
Muftī Riḍāʾ al-Ḥaqq sb writes,
Al-ʿAllāmah Zāhid al-Kawtharī (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“As for the statement of one who says that He, exalted is He, is in every place - when considered in light of the author’s transmission, its outward sense is a statement of anthropomorphism, just like the statement of one who says that He is in one place and not in another, unless what is meant is to declare Him transcendent, exalted is He, above dwelling in place or time."
(Ḥāshiyat al-Kawtharī ʿalā al-Ikhtilāf fī al-Lafẓ wa-l-Radd ʿalā al-Jahmiyyah wa-l-Mushabbihah, Ibn Qutaybah, p. 28)

We therefore conclude that the brother has unfortunately slandered Mawlāna Ilyās sb, and we call on him to retract this, after it has been clarified exactly what he meant by he himself, and proven from Ahl al-Sunnah.
@hashimiyy_@rida_al_mustafa@mubeenr25@ZouhairsMurid yeah same old story then,
they'll "clarify" without actually asserting anything significant
there's no way they'll concede to something tht puts their "akābir" at stakes, press them enough & yu'll see, it's just empty mumbo jumbo
@hashimiyy_@rida_al_mustafa@mubeenr25@ZouhairsMurid hmm, does he concede that believing Allah is existent everywhere with his dhāt is bid'ah then, 🤔
cz that would necessitate the tabdī' of a good chunk of Deoband
@SuperheroFead That's brilliant. Can we see the retraction?
Is it possible for you to also provide Taqi Usmani's retraction from this erroneous belief (which he has espoused in his Tafsir and his Fatawa)?
As well as the retraction from Binori Town and Dar ul Ulum Deoband.
Thank you.
Honestly and academically speaking, is this the Aqida of Ahl al-Sunnah (Ash'aris and Maturidis)?
Genuinely interested in the opinions of Tullab al-'Ilm on here (polemics and 'loyalties' aside).
"Opposition" is such a laughable euphemism when you people have literally said that Celebrating the Mawlid of Rasūlallah ﷺ is like Hindus celebrating their God
& ya Your elder Gongohi "obeyed" his teacher haji imdadullah by ripping off his letter lol, as written in ur own books
The reasoning behind the opposition of Hanafī-Deobandī elders towards the commemoration of Mawlid in northern India was different from the bidʿī ideological rationale of contemporary najdian Wahābīs.
Hanafī-Deobandī elders had also accepted this as an issue of Ikhtilāf.
Rasulullahın doğumuna bile sevinen müşrik ebu leheb' e bile böyle bir ihsanda bulunuluyor ama bazı kalbi bozuk kişiler Rasulullahı masivanın başı olarak görüyor yahut Rasulullahın mevlidini kutlamayı bidat olarak görüyor ! dinleyin Seyyid Muhammed Alevi Maliki K.s ne anlatıyor: Hz Abbas Rüyada Ebu Leheb'i ateşler içinde görüp halini sorunca; ' Muhammedin doğumuna sevinerek cariyem Süveybe'yi azad ettiğim için cehennemde pazartesi günleri küçük parmağımdan bana su ikram ediliyor ' der !!
İmamı Ehlisünnet İmam Ahmed Rıza Han Kadri Hazretleri Tamhîd-i Îmân de yazıyor:
Peygamber Efendimiz Hz. Muhammed Resûlullah’a ﷺ karşı saygısızlık veya hakaret eden herhangi bir kimseyi görürseniz, onu süt bardağına düşmüş bir sineği atar gibi hayatınızdan uzaklaştırın. ▶️ 1/3
Enraptured by the love of Nabi ﷺ, the companions would not even flinch in the battlefield, such is His ﷺ's support

Every support shall come our way!
