Just a moment ago I heard a cat outside. Not one of mine, but it was crying and crying. I live in the woods, no close neighbors, so it wasn't a neighborhood cat. And it was crying, so I slipped some sandals on, turned on my phone's flashlight, and stepped outside to find the cat.

I'm so over the moon to share the cover for my debut horror novel, THE CUT, coming 4/8/2025 from @StMartinsPress! The jacket designer, Olga Grlic, did an incredible job!

Don't forget to check out #TheCutBook to see THE CUT hanging out in other peoples' local eerie places! 1/3

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS. We are so past the point of it being okay for authors/publishers to let fatphobia slip by or be actively espoused.

And how are we meant to find your supposedly smart/likable/rooting-for-them characters who are actually so hateful?? IT’S A CRAFT ISSUE

I once said I'd be thrilled if LORD OF THE EMPTY ISLES found one person who needed it. Luckily, it's already found more than one, and now that it's out in the world, I hope it might find more!💜✨

To anyone who's read, recced, hyped, or otherwise supported this book...THANK YOU!

A really enjoyable, thoughtful read! I really should be asking myself 'What would Coop do' on the regular

Hi, friends! In case you missed it, I have a blog post in which I talk about the importance of depicting goodness in horror media, with examples from @StephenKing, #TwinPeaks, and the first three Scream movies. If that sounds like a fun read, here:
