@mattjay I still don't understand why people started using their real names on the internet, especially if they care about privacy.
It's not like the "cloud" and centralization removed all the problems.

Real supply chains have contracts, SLAs, vetted suppliers, and procurement controls.
What's happening is people are downloading and running untrusted 3rd party code, then acting surprised when it bites them.
