First big paper coming out of the lab @ChulanKwonLab@hopkinsheart @sean_murphy50 For more here: https://t.co/xmSGkM1oBF and here: https://t.co/JzSsAbFHwq
My wife Sofia and I are thrilled to announce we matched to @StanfordPeds for Residency! I will be starting in the Physician-Scientist track in June, and I could not be more thrilled for this next stage of our career!
My journey continues to advance care for patients with congenital heart disease, and I could not be more excited to train together with many remarkable co-residents, faculty, and staff!
Excited to share our work on FHF lineage tracing in human iPSCs & the generation of hiPSC-derived left ventricular CMs! A special thanks to all the co-authors for their contributions. @SeanM_Wu@SoahLeePhD@Tahmina_Samad@rasmus_o_bak See ⬇️ for a🧵 https://t.co/yiDQoWQCNK
Lastly, when comparing our 2D protocol with scRNA-seq data from a 3D protocol (Drakhlis et al, Nat Comm 2021), we found that a 3D system has the potential to give rise to SHF-like progenitors indicating the potential of 3D approaches for modeling FHF/SHF development! 8/8
Importantly, we observed a FHF-like progenitor population during hiPSC differentiation that emerged from an early ISL1+ cardiac progenitor, providing a unique view into the emergence of the FHF in a human model system. 7/8
I am incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to present at the Weintraub Symposium! Wonderful talks by all the awardees, and incredible hospitality by all the organizers, graduate students, and faculty @fredhutch! @WeintraubAward
