Eid Al Fitr Mubarak! Today marks the end of Ramadan with a celebration. May those celebrating find joy and may we all keep those who aren't able to experience the joys of this holiday in our prayers for a better future.
@diaahadid What can we do as US citizens to help prevent further deterioration of vulnerable population: women and infants? Are there any charitable organizations that donations can be made to in order to help prevent closure of these healthcare facilities? If so, can you identify them?
44th annual Sarnoff conference in SF. A decade has passed by and it still feels like yesterday when my co-fellows and I embarked on a journey of scientific discovery in cardiovascular research as med students. Thank you @SarnoffCardio for this amazing community.
@fxgaldos@SeanM_Wu@StanfordMSTP@Will_Goodyer@HanZhuMD@Raissadati I am so thrilled you are staying at Stanford! I consider it a privilege to know you as a mentee and friend. Looking forward to many more discussions about science and a career in pediatric cardiology over a hot cup of Afghan pink chai ☕️ :)
Dr. @SeanM_Wu gives a compelling talk on the journey to dissect pathways/cell subsets in❤️development using combo of novel wet/dry lab techniques, along with solid career advice and scientific wisdom @StanfordCVI 👏A tour de force, & I am honored to be an alumna of his lab!
All star panel of industry experts discussing similarities & differences between career in industry vs academic @SarnoffCardio#43Annual Mt. Industry-fast pace, results driven, team oriented, lots of bosses. Academic-more job security, less authority, individual success.
Having tried to understand #HLHS, I am awed by pioneering work by @SeanM_Wu & @StanfordCVI colleagues, including @SarnoffCardio alum @Tahmina_Samad, who demonstrated cell autonomous functional & metabolic defexts in HLHS iPSCs!
