Peter Thiel’s explanation of the balance between dogmatism and skepticism in science is incredible. He verbalizes my thoughts better than I could have, and I think this is the fundamental disconnect between people that are celebrating and those sounding the alarms.

Healthy skepticism is a fundamental part of science. Asking questions, reevaluating guidelines, and healthy discussion has become frowned upon in many respects.

Reform doesn’t need to be a scary thing, and I have faith that it won’t be. Just as there are dangers to changing aspects of our healthcare policies, there are equal dangers by keeping things the same.

I do not advocate for swinging the pendulum to the opposite end of the spectrum, but I wholeheartedly believe we have lost the harmony of balance.
