Hey .@BristolCouncil the underpass on Temple Way is flooded yet again, and impossible to get through. Would be great if this could be fixed so this doesn’t happen every time there’s heavy rain? Cheers.
Perplexed @guardian as to why the sinking of a tycoon’s yacht in the Mediterranean takes precedence over all other news? It’s obviously sad, but it’s hardly of international significance…
@TomTugendhat Interested in how this applies to me Tom; I have to work part time for very little so that I have the time to help support my disabled mother, because after 14 years you did nothing to support or fix the social care system, which is on its knees.
@AnastasiaNSW@arthistorynews In the US you pay a small fortune to enter art galleries and museums, so that coffee and cake at the NG will still be less than half the price of a ticket to enter an American gallery… I suppose?
Dear .@gwr please make sure *all* of your trains have AC. On the 3-hr journey from Portsmouth to Bristol, and we’re all sweltering here - it’s extremely uncomfortable 🥵
.@BBCNewsnight my mum (73, who has watched Newsnight for decades) this morning: “so sad, what’s happened to Newsnight, but thank god there’s still Channel 4 news for investigative journalism”. It really is abysmal BBC; the last thing we need is another discussion show.
@xgigglypuff Not angry at your post in the slightest, but just to say that I grew up drinking raw milk, straight from the cow, on the farm I lived at. I/we experienced no problems at all, but that’s not to say that others haven’t/dont. Live in the city now and drink pasteurised organic milk.
@JohannaTC Had the boundaries not been redrawn Debbonaire may well have won; I live in her former constituency which is still very much Labour (and a real mix of working + middle class). Happy for Denyer, yes, but more sad that Debbonaire isn’t our new culture sec.
Please .@BristolCouncil fix the drainage in our underpasses (specifically Laurence Hill & Pip n Jay) so we can walk/cycle through them. They’re completely flooded, and we really need access to them!
@createstreets This may be temporary, but it’s all of a piece with how things have gone here in the UK. And our expectations have become so low now too, accordingly. I was in a small French town recently - didn’t just feel like I was in another country, but on another planet. Was so cared-for.
@createstreets My council re-covered a cycle lane a while back with a new, actually better covering. However they left holes in it to show the old painted bicycle signs underneath, so they didn’t need to paint new ones on the new covering. And now we have potholes in the bike lane. 🤦🏻♂️
