Neil Young says Tom Cruise's "Digger" is "the best film I have ever seen."
"None of the reviews I have read describe this film adequately, in my opinion," Young wrote. "They seem to miss the overall effect and most of them are negative. This film lives in a world of art. It is its own best review. Don't read any other reviews and forget this one before you see 'Digger.' It cannot be seen as a Tom Cruise film - that would be misleading. I would describe it as a film of our times... I do not view this film as a commercial venture. Rather it is an artful film of our times. The things that are said in 'Digger' are a direct reflection of today's political and social world. The film is so full of artful expression and radical change ups, that it may be too much to take in for those expecting a commercial film like we are used to today."

It’s so obviously John. All of Paul’s stuff here is great, and the tonal balance is necessary, but if those were the only songs John ever wrote he would still be top ten songwriters of all time
I went to Cornell’s Uris library for a day of reading, saw a shelf full of yearbooks, flipped through them to try and find his photos and couldn’t. I don’t know if I just wasn’t looking hard enough but I thought that was mysterious. I did find his addresses in the directories tho
They’re being paid dirt to work a completely thankless, miserable job that puts them in contact with a wide range of moronic and abusive behavior. It’s a miracle more of them don’t come across this way.
It's been talked about a lot, but it's really dumb and infuriating that almost all service workers, particularly the younger ones, have to let you know via their demeanor and way of speaking to you (or not speaking to you) how miserable they are and that they loathe serving you.
That’s why when I ran a film society in college, I refused to allow any voting processes. Programming was done by the 4-5 board members. Allowing anyone to vote or submit ideas would only reinforce prevailing notions and tastes on campus. No progress would be made.
friend in my film class has started a club to get other students to broaden their horizons but she let everyone vote on a film from our combined dvd collections so now we're watching coraline
