@KimJohnsonMP The 5/10 yr statistics for refugees becoming tax paying productive members of society are woeful. If this wasn't the case I might muster some outrage at this plan...as it is, it will affects so few as to be pointless anyway. Will coat more to administer than it will raise likely.

@StephenNolan Already hard enough to compete with men for jobs when you are child bearing age because companies (even when they don't admit it for fear of being sued) pass us over for men to avoid potential maternity leave & pay. This would disadvantage us against male candidates even more!

@HazelAppleyard If it just said priority to 16-17 year olds or students, I could have let it go because a number of places want to pay the lower minimum wage to such age groups for temporary summer or low skills part time staff with high turnover. But the fact it specifies "girls" is dodgy.

Am I the only one who thinks that the last thing we need in the UK is more devolution? More poorly run local bureaucracies who will blame Westminster & lack of funding for their failures. The country needs less division not more! #Burnham #No10North #Devolution

@UKScotBrit I thought the whole point was that by definition if you were being investigated or prosecuted then you didn't serve with "honour" but rather acted criminally? Of course there is a different standard of morality for guerilla fighters & trained state soldiers. Or there should be.

@OfficialBFresh Considering there are multiple recorded cases of criminal rape and sexual assault of coma patients only coming to light because said coma patient became pregnant...I am going with yes, in some cases their menstrual cycle continues. A horrific reality.

Hey @UniteunionNI @MoyParkFS now hiding holiday days left from payslips. Workers shouldn't have to beg just to see what "the computer" says and get no answer. Feels cynical & a subtle way to withold holidays or make getting them more hassle to get.

Behaviour tsar Tom Bennett eh? Not hard to figure out. When schools are so pushed for cash that every kid represents a number in their budget, schools no longer expel. Teachers go easy because the admin for behaviour is murder with helicopter parents & schools scared of fuss.

I just got around to reading the #Iran and #America memorandum. My god, how can anyone call this a "good deal." The whole thing reads like America kowtowing to Iran, capitulation at its finest. Unbalanced joke of a document that makes America grovel and buy agreement.

@51Batman @Thebrinksman No. The Drumnagoon estates in Craigavon built over the last 12 years are a set of mixed community estates. Peaceful, young families of many faiths & nationalities. Raising of flags without residents consent is an attempt to intimidate, cause anxiety, fear & mark territory.

@BobbarianXRP @mog_russEN Really people? Bog standard gas station ATM gets restocked with 40k. A busy, high traffic bank ATM at max gets 120k. So depending on how long after restock the thieves get something between that. They hit it at night after a day of use so it's never full.

@mog_russEN Huh, that is very old school. That was the big crime here in Northern Ireland a few years ago. They'd target ATMs in gas stations, rural shops or small towns. Hasn't been worthwhile here in years. Cute to see the mainland ones giving it a go.

@jni_1972 @RichardJGrant I believe the deterrence effect against paramilitaries recruiting kids, triggering mandatory intervention through courts, responsive judge sentencing for seriousness, prioritising justice, public safety & victim safety outweighs argument about criminalising groomed children.
