Happened this last weekend, the Love4Hope Chess Tournament took place in #MusanzeDistrict, Northern Province. Thanks to @thegiftofchess.
In total 72 players participated (56 players in U-16 section).
Umutesi Marie Jeanne won the U-16. Ndayishimye Aimé won the >17 section.

The only reason why the boy in this video and hundreds of other children we train have this genius level mathematical ability is because of this man here Gideon @ItepuSam . he started volunteering with us as team lead for our child education department in his first year at the university(Six years ago), he recently graduated from Unilag and I’m incredibly proud of him.

Kind and thoughtful humans like Gideon is why the chess in slums project works.
Please reach out to him and give him jobs if you want your kids to be Maths and Chess geniuses as well.
