When the stock market cracked in October 1929, you had a bad recession on your hands. Painful, yes. But recessions end. What turned this one into a decade-long catastrophe was the Fed actively contracting the money supply by roughly one-third between 1929 and 1933. Milton Friedman and Anna Schwartz documented this in excruciating detail in "A Monetary History of the United States." The Fed watched over 9,000 banks fail and did almost nothing. Bank failures shredded the money stock, credit collapsed, and businesses that could have survived a normal downturn got buried.
Here is the specific mechanism the textbooks gloss over. When banks failed in waves, from 1930 through 1933, the money multiplier collapsed. The Fed had every tool to offset this. Instead, in 1931, facing gold outflows, the Fed raised the discount rate from 1.5% to 3.5% in one move. You are in the middle of a deflationary spiral and the central bank jacks up the cost of borrowing. Prices fell 10% annually. Real debt burdens exploded. Farmers, manufacturers, and ordinary borrowers got crushed under obligations that grew heavier every single month.
Murray Rothbard made a different argument on top of this: the Fed's cheap credit during the 1920s built the bubble in the first place, so the liquidation was unavoidable. The Fed created the conditions for collapse, then panicked and made the correction catastrophic.

So what if a Muslim wins an election in America and becomes a congressman or senator? Why is that any different from an Italian winning an election?

An Italian has a national identity, Italian, that is tied to a defined territory: the borders of Italy.
He may celebrate Italian holidays, follow Italian politics, send money home, or even dream of returning one day. None of this is inherently antithetical to the American nation-state.
The Italian American immigrant does not believe Ohio is part of Italy. His attachment is territorial. It is confined to a nation whose boundaries are recognized by everyone, including himself.
Islam presents something fundamentally different.
Islam is not merely a religion practiced by people from many nations. Muslims belong to a single civilization that transcends every nation.
A Muslim may be Egyptian, Pakistani, Nigerian, Bosnian, or Indonesian, but he belongs to something larger than the nation-state: the ummah.
The ummah is not a country with fixed borders. Its political horizon encompasses the entire world.
That is why Muslims repeatedly say that Islam will enter every home.
The ummah is not Italy. It has no border because it is the entire world.
This transnational identity is fundamentally antithetical to the American national sovereignty.
An Italian American may work to advance Italian causes, but those causes remain bounded by Italy.
A Jewish American may work to advance Israel’s interests, but those interests remain tied to a particular state with defined borders.
No Italian wants Italy to govern America. No Jew wants Israel to govern America. Muslims want Islam to rule America.
Islam is a state being presented to Americans as a religion, and Americans are electing Islamic politicians to rule them without realizing that they are electing citizens of another country whose priorities will never be American.
The West is handing over the world's economy to China. To China, for God's sake: an unimaginably brutal totalitarian regime.
And why?
So our hypocritical elite can continue to style themselves as planetary saviors?

The guy who invented it was NOT an engineer or electrician, but rather, a mortician. There were two funeral homes in the town he served… his and a rival. The owner of the rival had a wife who worked as a switchboard operator. Anytime anyone called for A funeral home or HIS funeral home, she would route the call to her husband. He invented the dial phone so customers could explicitly end around switchboard operators and call someone directly. I just love this story.

This is how the scam works. When the script collapses, the propagandists don’t admit they were wrong. They accuse the audience of noticing.

To those who say "it's her choice" I used to say the same thing about my own Hijab.
I was covered head to toe. Even on the beach. Even with my male relatives. And when people challenged me, I said: this is my choice. You know why? Because the other option was burning in hell, hung by my hair for eternity. That's what they taught me since childhood.
Yes, let me repeat it for you to just understand about our version of “freedom of choice.” I grew up in an Islamist culture that gave me two options. Cover yourself and go to heaven. Or don't cover, and be hanged by your hair and burned in hell.
