The novel improvements in this work are a larger training data set, the inclusion of meteorological data and AR masks from previous timesteps and having hyperparameters tuned to arrive to the best model possible. Feel free to reach out if you want to ask any questions. (3/4)

This paper details a DL model that was trained to detect the presence of TCs in ERA-Interim data with a view to creating a data filtration method to run online in a climate model. Another paper comparing this to an established tracking algorithm is currently in review. (2/3)
