The cumulative emissions of greenhouse gases — led by the U.S. and the countries of Europe since the start of the industrial age, and more recently by China — have not only heated up the planet, but also placed it on course to get much worse in the next 20 years.
The Trump Administration's effort to sell out the #ArcticRefuge places our environment, wildlife, and Indigenous communities at grave risk. The House passed legislation to protect the Arctic refuge, and we will continue our work to defend this irreplaceable land.

1/2) #Dorian decided to crank back up to MAJOR HURRICANE today (Cat 3) w/winds at 115 mph. Frankly, not a huge difference in 110 to 115, however, hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 195 miles.
