Australian media is so relentlessly repulsive and racist. At this point in the systematic extermination of Palestinians, the Sydney Morning Herald is profiling Israeli “pioneers” with this utterly disgraceful, racist headline. Get in the goddamn bin.
I don’t think people around the world realize how bad the attack on Lebanon was today. It’s BAD. Like 9/11 BAD. Hospitals are overflowing and do not have enough blood. We still don’t know what the death toll is.
This is TERRORISM. Pure and Simple.
April 8. Never forget.
The bill has been approved. Israeli prisons will turn into guillotines for Palestinians.
Hundreds will be executed in the next few weeks. 9300 hostages now in Israeli custody.
Dark day for humanity. Unforgettable memory in the Palestinian cause history.
Israel has now seized a larger percentage of Lebanon's total landmass than Russia has taken from Ukraine since its 2022 invasion. The latter was immediately met with international uproar and unprecedented multi-sectoral sanctions while the former is barely even mentioned.
I'll never forget how the Israelis bombed al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza in October 2023 and the world was shocked and horrified. Israel denied it, saying they would never commit such a heinous crime.
Then they went on to bomb every single hospital in Gaza.
Now they are doing the same in Lebanon and Iran. The Israelis have bombed at least 128 medical facilities and ambulances across south Lebanon. In Iran, the US and Israel have bombed 25 hospitals and medical centres.
In Lebanon, they are committing double tap strikes to kill medics and rescue workers, just as they did in Gaza. Medics are forced to delay their responses.
These monsters are normalizing war crimes that were once unthinkable.
- One bombed hospital might be a horrible mistake
- Two bombed hospitals are undeniably crimes against humanity
- More than a hundred bombed hospitals is the work of the most effective and barbaric terrorist organization the world has ever seen.
Every single patient on ventilators in the entire of Cuba just died overnight because of the US blockade. The US is a terrorist regime destroying the world to rule over the ashes. It must be stopped.
@Brocklesnitch The Closer! I've recently started it and it's great! Very much in this category. I've also recently finished all of Cold Case and recommend that too!
@slamup Lol I always choose religious or personal reasons. The religion is that we like to sleep and the personal reason is that my kid takes forever to eat breakfast. The kinder teachers have told us that they never look at it so it doesn't matter.
This performance is captivating everyone’s heart, and it’s because we yearn for art, for meaning, for beauty
We don’t want to be mindlessly entertained anymore, made to consume what they think we want to watch
We don’t want to be fed whatever executives think will hold our attention. We don’t want to be studied, predicted, and sold back to ourselves.
So much of what we see now isn’t art. It’s market research. It’s built around the viewer, what we’ll click, what will spike engagement.
But when art is shaped around the audience, rather than the heart of the artist, it loses its soul.
Art only becomes meaningful when it stops asking what the viewer wants and starts expressing what the artist must say.
This performance is touching our hearts because for the first time in a long time we have seen art, and art that comes from the heart of an artist, one that must perform for the sake of beauty, for the sake of love, not for the viewer, and that is why we all finally feel something
“divine feminine” rhetoric is a stark reminder of just how many women have allowed themselves to be tricked into believing the illusion that the pedestal is any less dehumanizing than the boot.
It’s now 12 midnight, and no one is sleeping in the tents… because sleeping is simply impossible.
The bedding is completely soaked, and the rain is pouring heavily over worn-out tents that can no longer hold up.
People have fled into the streets, to hospitals, to the remains of bombed-out buildings… to any place they think might protect them from the flooding and cold.
Most spent the night standing, with no shelter or cover only water, cold, and fear.
You can hear the coughing of children from far away, their voices heartbreaking… I saw them with my own eyes shivering from the cold, their lips blue, their summer clothes drenched, with nothing to warm their small bodies, and no one has anything left to offer.
This rain didn’t bring mercy it came to complete the pain the war began, as if death, displacement, and suffering weren’t enough.
And in the end, the whole world watches in silence.
A silence that is terrifying, painful like what we’re going through means nothing.
As if our children fall outside the bounds of humanity.
This kind of neglect is a betrayal that can never be forgiven.
@cmkusher Mornington Peninsula, Vic. We live in the Dandenong Ranges so beautiful bushland but it would be great to marry that up with the coast. Or Phillip Island, where my partner is from (but I keep telling him, you can't go home again. It has changed so much he would be disappointed)
Israel never stopped bombing Gaza.
It never stopped killing Palestinians.
It never stopped committing genocide.
And government ministers wonder why we continue to demonstrate in our thousands? End all arms sales to Israel, now.
Israel is bombing tents again with F35 jets.
They commit genocide with impunity.
There was no ceasefire, they broke it every single day.
They must be held to account.
Speak up. Take action.
