@parampanpa@Pirat_Nation It’s still a business model based on DLC. The Sims used to be like that too, I don’t know if it still is. The base game is simply a store for the DLC.
Celebrities are making up stories rivaling your grandpas school journey nowadays.
“I was waiting tables at Saddam’s hiding place for 2 cockroaches a week when this old man told me not to give up on my dreams. I still visit him to have cockroaches together.”
@wariocolosseum It gives people a false sense of community. It’s also why as a streamer gets bigger their growth accelerates.
Also why they call their viewers their “community” on purpose, even though it doesn’t resemble a community at all.
Games need a “mark as read” button. When you have a thousand items in your inventory and it shows an exclamation mark because you didn’t hover over that piece of trash you picked up 2 hours ago it’s annoying.
@omgsidewalks It happens because at the beginning you think being good at your job would get you there. Then you find out being mediocre at your job while being good at kissing ass is what it takes. So you just give up.
#gothicremake is my first experience with Gothic. I hate everyone and I love it. For the first time in an RPG I don’t feel bad for being bad to people or double crossing them because everyone is a proper asshole. Great fun.
@n_vadimov@Slumdog_Milly It doesn’t do anything to build the character or make you care about him. Everything that builds the relationship happens in the stupid montage. Even the death of Dexter DeShawn is a higher emotional peak than Jackie’s.
@JayzTwoCents The thing is the World Cup is arguably the worst form of football. The players don’t know their teammates well. They rarely have well-established strategies. It’s fun because it’s competition between nations; but the quality isn’t there. The Champions League is where it’s at.
@Cromwelp Classic case of nuance getting lost in analysis.
Some dude at Valve looks at the data. Most games most people play most of the time are within this promise. But when you advertise it most people don’t think most games most people play most of the time. They think Cyberpunk.
It feels like there are only 2 camps about climate change:
- It is a hoax.
- It is real and should be stopped.
What about people who think it is real and should be embraced? Do they not exist?
