Food delivery platforms currently allow account holders to substitute and pass jobs to other people, with no reliable way for customers to know who is actually at their door.

Shared or rented accounts create serious public safety risks including cases where drivers using someone else’s account have committed crimes during deliveries.

Platforms must be required to take legal responsibility for anyone operating under their company.

This is about basic safeguarding for women, children and families across the United Kingdom, and about holding companies and government accountable for closing loopholes that put people at risk.
