@LeoXBT67 I feel like the project has evolved in a different direction and the original vision that attracted many of us is slowly fading away. I sincerely hope I'm wrong bro
I'm not referring to the technology itself.
By "old" and "new," I mean the ecosystem narrative and focus.
The original vision presented in the whitepaper was centered around gaming, NFTs, virtual worlds, interoperable assets and the Virtual Society.
Today, most of the messaging seems focused on Agentic AI, DeFi and Prediction Markets.
I'm simply trying to understand how these pieces connect and how the original ecosystem fits into the direction being built today.
Maybe I missed an explanation somewhere, which is exactly why I'm asking.
This explains why you're excited about Agentic AI, DeFi, and Prediction Markets.
What it doesn't explain is how this connects to @Somnia_Network 's original gaming, NFT and Virtual Society vision.
Where is the bridge between the whitepaper vision and today's Agentic roadmap?
From my perspective, it almost feels like the original vision served its purpose and now the focus has shifted entirely to Agentic AI. Then once that chapter is complete, perhaps the focus will move on to something else, leaving this behind as well.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something and if so I'd genuinely appreciate being corrected.
I'm not criticizing the new direction. I'm simply trying to understand how the original vision fits into the future being built today and what value this evolution creates for the ecosystems, assets and communities that were built around that vision.
I don't usually tag team members but this is a question I've been searching an answer to for a long time.
I invested in Somnia because of the original vision: gaming, NFTs, virtual worlds and the Virtual Society described in the whitepaper.
Now the narrative is centered around Dreambox and Agentic AI.
What I'm struggling to understand is where the existing NFT ecosystem fits into this future.
I've spent a considerable amount of time reading documentation, announcements and recent updates, yet I still can't find a clear bridge between the original vision and the current Agentic direction.
Could someone from the team help explain how these pieces fit together?
I'd genuinely appreciate the clarification.
@0xPaulThomas@lippylipka@MrHarryLang@Somnia_Network
I've been trying to understand something for quite a while now and despite reading the whitepaper, following announcements and keeping up with recent updates, I still haven't found a clear answer.
I originally joined @Somnia_Network because of its vision around gaming, virtual worlds, interoperable NFTs, digital ownership and the concept of a Virtual Society.
Today, the focus seems to be shifting heavily toward Dreambox, Agentic AI and Somnia being positioned as "The Agentic L1."
I completely understand that ecosystems evolve and new opportunities emerge. My question isn't about resisting change.
What I'm genuinely trying to understand is:
How do these two visions connect?
More specifically, what role do existing ecosystem NFTs, gaming assets and collections play in the long term Agentic roadmap?
As someone who invested both time and capital into the original gaming and NFT focused vision, I'm struggling to see how those assets fit into the future that is currently being presented.
Following the Season 5 snapshot, NFT values across the ecosystem declined significantly, while the conversation shifted toward Dreambox and AI agents. That made me look even deeper into the connection between the original vision and the current direction.
Maybe I've missed something but after a long time researching this, I still can't find a clear explanation.
Is Agentic AI an extension of the original vision or is it a strategic pivot into a new one?
I'd genuinely appreciate some clarity from the team on how they see the relationship between the original whitepaper vision and today's Agentic narrative.
