Why Media Needs to Be More Vigilant and Responsible ?
My mornings are incomplete without reading newspaper. It's a daily habit that goes without fail.
While reading today's newspapers (both Hindi & English) a mistake came into notice. The Hindi newspaper entailed about HM's meeting on Rana's extradition, that was held on Wednesday. Whereas, the English newspaper wrote it as, Thursday (i.e. today).
A newspaper goes for publishing by midnight, even the morning prints are out by 3.30am.
Obviously, english one has mistakenly written Wednesday as Thursday.
Reason am pointing this out is, we trust whatever we read. The media needs to be more vigil and attentive to smallest of the details before publishing a news.
Accuracy and Integrity are the highest order of etiquette that media needs to follow.
The risk of disseminating misinformation or biased content is higher if news is AI-generated and not thoroughly vetted.
Media outlets have a duty to be transparent about their use of AI and to actively work towards minimizing any potential harm.
In an era where news can go viral in seconds, the responsibility of media to provide reliable information is paramount. AI can help in fact-checking and verifying sources, but human oversight is essential to maintain accountability and trust with the audience.
Trust in media is already fragile. All media houses must ensure that their news perfectly checked and reviewed and proof wdited to avoid further erosion of public confidence. Additionally, clear communication about how AI is used and the safeguards in place can help build and maintain trust.
In this digital era, print media is still holding grounds. So, media houses need to scale up their performance.
Vigilance, ethical practices, and a commitment to accuracy are more important than ever to ensure that the news remains a reliable pillar of our society.
Note: Deliberately avoided the name of newspaper as I love reading print editions and want more quality ones in future.

The charm of print is always going to be there.
But, then they have to fight their own digital editions alongwith other giants.
Credibility - well high time, media needs to focus on it.

This is the sadest reality. A tight skoa in the face of failed judiciary.
Our laws are biased towards women.
Feminazis are killing our men and society.
This is cold blooded murder by dead legal system and barbaric feminazis.
We all waited 16 years 9 months 5 days (52,70,40,000 seconds) for India to win another #T20WorldCup
Let's be a little patient at traffic signals too. Good moments are worth the wait. What say?
Hearty congratulations, #TeamIndia💙
