Indian telecom Reliance is sabotaging access to Telegram for millions of users OUTSIDE India (including the UAE) via a rogue method called BGP hijacking.

The sabotage seems intentional, as Reliance has ignored multiple reports.

This may be part of a competitive war, as Reliance is partially owned by Meta — the company behind WhatsApp.

Network operators are advised to reject unauthorized BGP announcements from Reliance (AS18101) to prevent route hijacks and ensure stable Internet access for their users.

Such abuse of global Internet routing is alarming. I wouldn’t be surprised if Reliance/WhatsApp were also behind the recent lobbying effort to ban Telegram in India.

My point is that I understand when #India doesn't name the perpetrator when it condemns the Israeli bombing of Qatar. I understand when India doesn't name when it condemns the Russian attacks in Ukraine. I also understand if India doesn't want to name when it condemns the Iranian attack on Persian Gulf monarchies. That's strategic balancing. But I don't understand why India doesn't name the country that fired missiles at vessels carrying Indian nationals, and killed three of them, in India's neighbourhood waters!

If all or most TMC Rajya Sabha MPs resign and are re-elected on BJP tickets:

* NDA: 148 + about 13 = 161

Heartily welcome the Delhi High Court verdict quashing the FIR registered by the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police and the subsequent Enforcement Directorate case against Newsclick and its Editor-in-Chief, Prabir Purkayastha. The Court noted that the proceedings were “mala fide”, an “arbitrary attack” without “a whisper of any incriminating allegation”, and amounted to “a gross abuse of the process of law”.

The judgement exposes the blatant lies concocted by the Union Government in collusion with central agencies to target independent journalism that unapologetically took a pro-people stand. The farcical UAPA case and other proceedings against Newsclick and Purkayastha should be withdrawn immediately, and the outlet and its journalists must be compensated for the injustice inflicted upon them.

Congratulations to Prabir Purkayastha and the journalists and workers of Newsclick. May your brand of journalism continue to thrive!

US imperialism strikes again. US forces attack a commercial oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman, killing 3 Indian sailors in cold blood. This is the second such attack reported within two days.
Yet the MEA's statement doesn't even name the US as the perpetrator! While Indian lives are lost, Modi is busy thanking Trump and hailing the "India-US strategic partnership."
Shameless subservience!
We strongly condemn this illegal US attack and the Government's complete abdication of India's sovereignty and duty to protect Indian citizens. The government must issue a strong condemnation and demand full accountability for the loss of Indian lives. It should intervene and pressurise the US to stop its attacks in West Asia and withdraw the blockade near the Strait of Hormuz and ensure free navigation.
