@DouglasAdlerMD My residency interviews were in-person, GI were virtual. Although expensive the in-person are preferable. You get to see the city, hospital, people, etc.. my pre-interview rank list in residency shifted significantly after interviewing while GI didn’t a whole lot.
Officially one month into my advanced endoscopy fellowship with @DouglasAdlerMD at Center for Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy (CATE)! 213 scopes so far. Complex ERCP, E & G POEM, Zenker’s diverticulotomy. Lot of room to learn but off to a great start!
@DouglasAdlerMD@Stentingwoman@DrBloodandGuts@AchintyaSinghMD@HilarHolzy I only have anecdote but I suspect people apply to most if not all of the programs in the match. When I interviewed I saw most of the same people in my interviews. I would favor having signals. It would certainly cut both ways for applicants and programs though.
Out now in @MicrobiomeJ - a cool, fun meeting report exploring work by @BCMSpaceHealth-funded scientists studying the intersection of human space flight and the microbiome. Thanks to @DoritD for affording @Garrison_MD and I the opportunity to write it up. https://t.co/xR58TiGbdi
