Leads. Donations. Sales. Stock Price. Employee satisfaction. Staff retention. You know. Real Impact.
Public relations can impact metrics that matter. But showcasing that in one page is hard. We want to try and change that...
Introducing a new free tool https://t.co/vzRqekV3B7
Love @coveragebook to make a "brag book" of ALL the coverage garnered this year for each client. They love it, too!
(And no, they don't pay me to say that.)

@andyinthecloud@heroku@Devoxx@herokustatus Appreciate the response Andrew. Sorry to be forced into a position to come find anybody active from Heroku in this way. But the lack of updates / quality of updates was putting us in a worrying position. Looks to be sorted now. Hoping a 3rd day issue won't occur.
@herokustatus Really hope I'm not here again tomorrow. Hitting refresh on status pages is not fun. 2 days is my limit. 3....let's hope we're all done now.
@robaldred @andyinthecloud@heroku@Devoxx@herokustatus I know. We're all grown ups. Stuff on the internet breaks. But the lack of communication on any of this is making it super hard. The only person responding is PK from twitter support apologising for the inconvenience. An inconvenience is missing a bus by 5 mins. Not this.
Just shipped some pretty sweet updates to our CoverageImpact free tool project.
1. You can now graph data by day/week/month. Some of those longer term examples were looking pretty mad with daily as the only option. Fixed now.
2. The support for coverage data imported from the likes of Cision, MuckRack, Meltwater, Buzzsumo, Critical Mention etc is so so much better. Just download your data in CSV format from these tools (and many more) and upload into CoverageImpact. We strip out everything apart from the date published data to create your coverage time-line. Then you can layer on impact data.
More to come.... #prmeasurement #publicrelations
A couple of weeks ago I posted 50 tools and websites that are INVALUABLE to digital PRs 💡

@RachWilliamsPR@ShannonnLC Cool. Thanks for the mention! When you say reach are you using our estimated coverage views number? i.e. the article/post level number vs the big giant site-wide number? https://t.co/jFhYima811

Does your coverage correlate with a metric CEO's and decision makers care about?
I'd love to see more PR professionals attempting to show the impact of their work over time. Looking beyond reporting on just audience numbers, article level views, DA and links. Watch @ginidietrich talk through our new free tool that helps you to try this yourself.

Why would someone make a simple thing, complex, on purpose?
1. Consulting $$$ — if it's not inscrutable, I couldn’t charge all this money.
2. Looking Smart — if I'm the "expert,” everyone else MUST be doing it wrong, so I have something to say.
Beware artificial complexity.

Don't get me started. I'm currently trying to explain what the word "cost cap" means to a LinkedIn rep. It's not just Google. I set max cost per click cap to x. So why is it costing 30% more?! "Yes Gary but our smart money making ai knows better than you how to spend your money..." - It's borderline criminal.
Looking for a Rubyist (probably mid-level) to do four/six weeks of CSV parsing & importing work, starting ASAP, on a Rails project at CoverageBook.
Email [email protected] with an intro paragraph, one-page CV & your day rate.
On the next PR Explored, guest @garydpreston, founder & CEO of @coveragebook, will join me to discuss what can be a challenge for public relations pros - measurement.
Stop by June 6 at noon Eastern to join us live-or listen to the replay at your leisure:
